on 2/2/2009 The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) announced that it has delayed the implementation of the revised Form I-9 for 60 days--until April 3, 2009.
According to USCIS, the delay will provide the Department of Homeland Security with an opportunity for further consideration of the new form and will also provide the public with additional time to submit comments on the new rule.
